Black Limba Wood Beater

Black limba is the rare kind of wood that guitar builders fight over — now shaped into a beater worth playing.

Prized in lutherie for its exceptional resonance and light-to-moderate density, black limba produces a warm, open attack with a natural sustain that lets the kick breathe. The dark figuring and streaked grain — ranging from olive-brown to near-black — give it an exotic, organic look that's genuinely hard to replicate. It's a tonewood that rewards feel: responsive under light touch, authoritative when you push it.

Shaped and finished by hand. The figuring on each piece is entirely its own.
