Why do we use different wood species?

• Each wood species brings its own natural grain, color, and character, giving a bass drum beater a look that's anything but ordinary

• Different woods also give us different weights while keeping our signature shape. Our collection ranges from our lightest beater, Black Limba, to our heaviest, Purple Heart, with plenty of options in between.
